Femi Oguns, MBE, a Nigerian-British entrepreneur, has made significant contributions to the UK's creative industry. Born to Nigerian parents, Oguns initially pursued acting, training at a traditional drama school where he faced isolation as one of the few melanated students. This experience spurred his ambition to create a more inclusive environment for melanated actors.

In 2003, Oguns founded the Identity School of Acting, the UK's first Black drama school, driven by the need for diverse representation in the arts. His vision was not just to create a space for melanated actors but to celebrate and amplify their identities unapologetically. Today, the school has grown from an initial ten students to over seven hundred, with a branch in Los Angeles.

Oguns' passion extends beyond education; he established the Identity Agency Group, representing talents like John Boyega of "Star Wars" fame and Letitia Wright from "Black Panther." His work has been pivotal in challenging and changing the narrative within the industry, offering a platform for underrepresented voices.
